HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THE KONJAC SPONGE

A little while ago, I shared both a review on the Biossance Revitalizer as well as a video on How to Use the Konjac Sponge. This is such a simple, effective skincare routine that I'm totally in love with - and even though it's a simple routine, it's also one that you can get a lot of benefits from.

So I thought I would run through the steps again, but this time, with some tips and tricks on how to get the most out of these two powerful tools

Step 1: Open your Konjac sponge and soak it in water for at least a minute. It should grow to 1.5 times its size.

Tip: Soak your sponge every time you use it and try soaking it in warm water to help open up your pores for an ultra deep clean.

Step 2: Use the sponge alone or add a few pumps of your favorite cleanser.

Trick: For true spa effect, I also like to use the Konjac sponge before using a face mask to prep my skin, and after, to make removing the mask easier.

Step 3: Start at the center of your face and massage your skin in a circular motion, working your way out.

Tip: Don't forget your neck and decolletage! These areas need a little exfoliating love every now and then too and I love that the Konjac sponge is gentle and effective enough to use on more than just your face.

Trick: Once in a while, I like to spend a little extra time and do a double pass for extra exfoliation. Just make sure not to scrub your face or push too hard. If you double over, keep it light and gentle both times!

Step 4: Rinse your sponge and gently press between your palms to remove excess water. Do not wring out or twist the sponge.

Tip: If I've used the sponge to remove makeup or a face mask, I like to gently rub the surface with my finger while holding the sponge under water before removing the excess water.

Step 5: Hang the sponge to let it dry, but make sure to avoid hanging it in direct sunlight.

Trick: I like to hang mine on a towel hook by the shower - it's a convenient way to hang it, plus it's a great way to remember to take it into the shower with me in the morning!

Step 6: Apply a few drops of the revitalizer to your face for insane hydration and instant radiance.

Trick: You can also apply a few drops of the revitalizer to your body lotion or around your eyes before your eye cream for extra moisture. Plus, I like to add a few drops to my hair to keep fly aways in check without weighing down my locks.

And Finally: repeat this routine every day and night, and enjoy your gorgeous new skin!
