SHIRTS SKIRTS AND LAYERS

First, I want to make it clear that I use the terms 'button up' and 'button down' interchangeably and with reckless abandon, and I'm not ashamed. Reckless really is the best way to describe how I button my shirts, often done while multitasking and often needed to be done over due to a missed button hole or three.

This look, for instance, began with putting on this shirt dress. Something that should be easy for anyone to do, and yet took me three (count em), yes three tries (during which, I also made a cup of coffee, checked email, and haphazardly applied loads of mascara). After a few failed attempts at buttoning (hey Drake, now I see why you started from the bottom), I kind of gave up when it came to buttoning the skirt, ending up with this layered side slit look. Which I'm loving. Of course now I'm scouring my closet for more long things to expose from under my skirt (insert 13-year-old snickering here).

And so, my enamored obsession with the classic button down (or up) continues, a saga that I don't see ending anytime soon..

xx,

Tienlyn
