When I was younger, the holidays was all about excess. This might partly have to do with my deep seeded love for unwrapping things (still love it), but what would happen is that I would end up with a huge selection of things that I only sort of liked. As I've gotten older (and pickier), I've definitely learned the value of fewer things that I actually love, and I've also gotten a lot more vocal about what it is exactly that I wanted! Just ask Nikko... ;)
Case in point - I found a great bag and passport case for a style upgrade on my travel essentials, and made it known with Cuyana's adorable little hint cards (you can also drop hints online here). It's a lot more eloquent than my regular routine of leaving particular windows up on Nikko's computer, and a little cheekier too. I'll be slipping a few more of these under his pillow in the next few weeks...
