FROLOV

Do you ever have a piece in your wardrobe that you treasure so much, you just can't bring yourself to wear it anywhere except within the confines of your house for fear of ruining it forever should you take a single step out the door? It's more common than you think. And I've gone ahead and taken the liberty of naming this syndrome Sartorial Agoraphobia and the struggle is real. And for me, the most recent cause is this skirt, from Ukrainian designer Frolov.

I've actually worn it more times than you can count on two hands, but only in my own home, with the music turned up, Bryce's new album on repeat (alert! I'm obsessed with this girl!), and jazzy interpretive dance moves like whoa.

But this week, I got up the courage to wear it ... in PUBLIC! And guess what. I didn't rip it, spill on it, or anything else tragic. Instead, I had an amazing dinner with good friends, felt like a boss, and got a couple sweet compliments. You see, there's only one cure for Sartorial Agoraphobia and it's to put on said item and march straight out the door. I'm already looking forward to my next outing with this stunner number. Skirt: 1, Sartorial Agoraphobia: 0. It's the small victories, right?

xx,

Tienlyn
