The act of preparing for a baby is exciting and overwhelming. And after all of the preparation of making sure it’s perfect once the baby arrives, we’re thrown into sleepless nights and waves of anxiety. Being anxious is nothing new, but the concept of relaxing into parenthood kind of is. So what is relaxing into parenthood and why is it so important?

Finally just like how a routine helps the baby relax, a simple, consistent routine can do the same for you. A bedtime routine for the baby and yourself will relax you, and when in doubt, remember that you should never be afraid to ask for help. To relax into the role, we've got to give ourselves a break and allow for support on occasion, even if we do feel like we can take it all on itself.
