One of the benefits of being ill during most of the holidays, was having the time to meditate on what I really want out of 2015. While some are cynical about resolutions, I've embraced them wholeheartedly. I don't care how cheesy or futile resolutions may seem. It's an opportunity to  hold yourself to an intention for improvement. And to me, that's never a bad idea.  

For the last five years, my main resolution has been to say yes to the Universe. That means keeping an open heart and open mind, and staying optimistic no matter what. Because I really do believe that you can change your path and possibilities with the right attitude. It's truly worked for me and I don't think I would have ever gotten to where I am today without this attitude. 

And in light of my recent illness, I'm also adding another resolution to listen more to my body and to get better at being on top of the boring side of health! I read voraciously about holistic health and nutrition and am incredibly disciplined with exercise. But if you could see how difficult it is to  get me to make a doctor's appointment, it's almost laughable. But this year, I'm planning to change that.
