There's nothing quite like falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Except of course, waking up to it, which is why I always insist on staying ocean front whenever Nikko and I find ourselves in Maui. To me, the ocean's white noise is the ultimate luxury. Factor in a 3 hour time difference and early-riser habits, and you get the added benefit of having the beach all to yourselves for a good few hours every morning.

On high sun trips, I usually slather myself with the highest SPF sunscreen - but this trip, I took a different approach, allowing for a healthy dose of sun per day and applying a new sunscreen from my latest natural beauty brand discovery, Shamanuti. The more I learn about the difference in sunscreens (and other beauty products), the more my approach towards and perspective on beauty shifts. But there's a lot to say on all that, so we'll save that discussion for a later date.
