One of our favorite ways to reset is to spend a few days away, with the task of nothing else other than getting inspired. Luckily the Del Marcos Hotel is only hop skip away, and chock full of inspo. Built in 1947, staying here has been a step back into everything I love about that era. From absorbing the design-centric atmosphere to indulging in cocktails and a Sinatra soaked swim (thanks to the rock speakers) at the gorgeous midcentury pool, to embracing robe life whole heartedly in our Eames Poolside suite (cucumber water in hand) every second here feels somewhere between a memory and fantasy in the best of ways.

Plus, the Del Marcos Hotel is either walking or bike distance from nearly every single one of my favorite restaurants. But more on that later...

In the meantime, I'm about to dive into another cocktail and pool session, and I may not come up for air till the week is over. Thanks for the hospitality Del Marcos, you're a true friend.
