Never able to keep idle for too long, Nikko and I decided to do a fun little holiday shoot while were in Joshua Tree. We really liked how the rustic heat of our surroundings provided the perfect juxtaposition for the opulance that is so often associated with holiday dressing. I wore my favorite silk dress from Kora Rae - it's lightweight enough for the heat, but trust me, I'll be wearing it plenty this holiday season. I love how there's something casual in the drape and in the details (hello, oversized pockets - always a plus), but the material and the length make me feel like royalty.

I wanted to wait to share this post after Thanksgiving as we are now officially in the holiday season! What are you looking forward to the most?
