While I normally save most big sale days for things like homegoods and tech, for me, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has always been about wardrobe splurges. This year, I got a head start (you can get early access if you have a Nordstrom card) and swooped up a pair of amazing Frame jeans plus some super cute everyday tops - all on mega sale, of course!
While I took advantage of their insider early access, the sale itself actually starts today and goes until August 5th. And this isn’t any ordinary sale either - it truly is a one of a kind sale. Just picture a massive selection of on-trend, brand new arrivals at deeply discounted sale prices during the time span of the sale (prices go up after the sale ends) so it’s not like you’re picking through leftovers. These are pieces that you’re coveting Right. Now.
While I started perusing the sale in a hunt for the perfect jeans (found them - and you know they’re good when the husband notices them), I ended up coming away with a ton of other items, from shoes, to beauty, to tops. This plaid little number from Caslon was another favorite find, and is the perfect effortlessly casual top that will work just as well with jeans as it will tucked into a flowing skirt.
Another thing I really love about this sale is the timing. We’re still in the dead of summer, but it’s actually perfect timing to start thinking about your Fall wardrobe! And since I personally find Fall shopping a little overwhelming (in the sense that I want literally everything), it’s super helpful to get access to new arrivals at super sale prices.
(PS for all you homegoods junkies out there, their home sale is pretty spectacular too)
And actually, during the sale, there are some great events going on in-store as well (including Beauty Bash where there are tons of beauty exclusives, limited-edition items, free samples and gifts with purchases, not to mention in-store makeup application and beauty advice) so if you’re near a Nordstrom, definitely make sure to pop in!
