My feelings towards lamé go from extreme aversion to thorough obsession, swinging wildly and regularly, like a histrionic metronome. In small doses, however, I can remain quite even tempered about it, and even manage to wear it for day. I love how this top has just a few threads of lamé woven through it, paired with a spandexy clinginess that symbolizes everything that was good about the 90's.
When worn in a neutral hue, lamé can be like subtler alternative to sequins, giving you the same feel of glitz and glamour, but subtler, and far more appropriate for day. Check after the jump for outfit details, as well as a few lamé tops I wouldn't mind wearing #erday.
