Usually, after I leave Hawaii, I'm flooded with a mix of sentimental yearning, nostalgia, and regret, caused by a sudden and often dramatic change of surroundings. This trip, however, I bounced straight from Maui to Joshua Tree - and I have to say, I've never acclimated this easily.
While I obviously miss the beach, being surrounded by warm sand, sunny skies, and the perfect amount of heat blended with cooling gusts of wind makes it not that hard to ease back into the swing of things without feeling like I'm missing much.
We've been attempting to get back to normal, and I'm starting to feel like we're almost there, aside from the unpacked boxes and suitcases that currently litter the Bucky, that is!
This week, we are back to work at Cactus Mountain, adding a few little touches here and there before our next round of guests. I can't wait to show you the little extra touches we've added!
