After a few years of Coachella, Nikko and I have come up with our own way of doing it. Instead of going full out, we like to take it easy, sticking mostly to the side parties for the first weekend, with the exception of a few artists we really want to see. This way, lines are minimized (I'm not very good at waiting in lines), we're not burnt out, and we actually get to see and talk to our out-of-town friends in a mostly civilized situation. Plus, the first weekend tends to be when most of the brunches are - and I'm a serious sucker for brunch!
We shot this outfit at the Socialyte WWD brunch with NudeStix, in between bites of tacos, chips, and the most amazing vodka-spiked coconut deliciousness, before heading out to the Zoeasis and a few other events. Because I'm not really into the idea of appropriating another personality just because it's festival season, I wore something I'd wear on a normal day, and just dressed it up a little extra with a handful of super shiny bling. And it's funny - but the more you actually wear at Coachella, the more you tend to stand out...
