I used to think that the seasons didn't effect my choice of makeup. I wear bronzer every month of the year, and my makeup routine, albeit a few subtle changes, has always felt fairly straightforward. I prefer to keep things simple and stick with what works. But that being said, how do you find what works best if you don't continue to try new options?
When San Francisco MAC Cosmetics Senior Artist Victor Cembellin sent his top picks, I assumed I would find one or two things that I might like, but I didn't expect myself to fall for every single thing - and even less for the overall au natural sultry effect I got when put it all together. I'm hard pressed to pick favorites, but I will say that this mascara gives a seriously intense yet surprisingly natural lash, and that ever since I started using it, I have been loving wearing much less eyeliner. It's such a free and summer-like feeling.
Also, if you are ever looking for a good nude lipstick, I definitely recommend this one. Usually, nude lipstick leaves me looking like I just made out with a band-aid, but this one does nothing of the sort and is supremely flattering.
One last thing - if you don't like dealing with a lot of makeup brushes, this one is a great 3-in-1. I use it to apply both my bronzer and highlighter as well as my blush. It's definitely the ultimate travel brush, as well as perfect for every day.
