After a crazy month of literally no down time, I couldn't be more excited to spend this weekend unwinding and resetting - both mentally and physically. I am a creature of habit and while my schedule is constantly changing, it's important for me to have a few steady routines that I can rely on. There are three in particular - the first is regular workouts. I actually crave them and my favorites of the moment are The Bar Method, running, and the occasional Soul Cycle. I love the mix of cardio and strength training that these three exercises provide for me.
The second routine is to start each day with a cup of detox tea. The one I've been really into lately is the Byron Body Tea - it's 100% natural and helps to cleanse your system, on top of several other beautifying side effects like shinier hair. It's the perfect start to my day and I'm actually starting to drink it three times a day, to help get back to normal after two trips that packed in quite a few extra brunches! So far, this might be my favorite detox tea that I've tried. I'm considering trying our some recipes from their eating plan as well.
The third routine is to give myself an hour of 'me time' each weekend. This may not sound like a lot, but you'd be surprised at how effective it can really be when you make it a priority to slow down. We are renovating but my husband has already finished the bathroom. He knocked down a wall and created a little sitting area for me - it's a total dream! There's nothing more enticing right now than spending an hour cozied up in this nook in super soft loungewear.
